Our Rods and Reels
We are big believers in having the right rod for the best fishing; we stock different rods to make sure you get the best experience when you take one of our charters.
For our other side trip, we carry 5 Penn International, 50 wides with high and low retrieval gears. These reels are paired with the Crowder rods.
When trolling for palegics, we have Diawa 40 Saltiga 2 speeds and Talica 25’s. These rods are paired with the Crowder rods.
Our deep drop reels are Diawa’s new MJ 1200 with two-speed retrieval and brushless motors; these reels are paired with Diawa deep drop rods. These setups will have no problem bringing up your big Grouper or Tilefish.
For Swordfishing we bring out the big reel, a Diawa MP3000 loaded with 3000 yards of braid. It’s a monster reel that will get the job done. We put this reel on a Crowder Swordfish Rod.
Spinning rods are a must and always rigged and ready for fish that might swim up to the boat. We use all Penn Conflict reels in various sizes matched with Crowder rods.
Tackle- We use Fathom Offshore trolling gear, they make some great products, such as trolling skirts, trolling lures, and Wahoo high-speed gear. Mustad Hooks are a staple on our boat, with Momoi Fluorocarbon. Obviously, we don’t discriminate if we feel like certain products or gear will help you catch more fish we put it on the boat.
